Will be embodying and choreographing, finding and creating the past and future Cosmology of Cyprus.


 Aleksandra Borys is an art and science artist working in fields of choreography, astronomy, cosmology and ecology. Her work looks at the human body, environment, Earth, Universe and asks what kind of choreography and dance happens between them. Interested in looking at Earth from a distance, she wonders how this perspective changes the way life on our planet is approached. She wonders what are the concepts of ecological art, of art as an activism, choreography as an art for creating contemporary social ceremonies to help individuals deal with changes of the Earth,

Aleksandra received in 2016 a Master of Art Science from Central Saint Martins, University of the Arts in London; in 2019 a BA in Contemporary Dance from CODARTS, University of Arts in Rotterdam; in 2003 she graduated from National Ballet School in Lodz.

Aleksandra was an artist in residence at Backbone 2019 at BlakDance in Brisbane, Study Visit 2018 at Movement Research in New York City, Backbone 2019 at BlakDance in Brisbane. In 2017 resident of LABverde art immersion residency in Adolpho Ducke Reserve and INPA in Amazonas in Brazil, and Moving Ideas choreographic residency on astronomy and choreography at Ready Made in Sydney. In 2015 se received The Research Scholarship from Grazyna Kulczyk for art and science research on walking art, 2019 and 2019 a grant from the Polish Ministry of Culture and National Heritage.
